Important Information
Before using, the user must determine suitability of this product for the intended use and the user assumes all risks and liabilities in connection therewith.
Because there are so many variations in carpet fibers and products used to prevent carpets from staining, it is imperative that the user of this product determine suitability. To determine suitability test the Carpet Protection Film on a small portion of carpet that is in a non-exposed area. Leave the film in place for at least 48 hours and then inspect to insure there was no disturbance to the carpet fibers.
Before applying carpet protection film carefully read the following important information:
- Carpet Protection Film is for carpeted surfaces only. Do not apply to any other surface or allow Carpet Protection Film to overlap beyond the carpeted area or onto hard surfaces like wood or tile.
- Use Carpet Protection Film only on completely dry carpeting. If carpeting was recently cleaned allow at least 24 hours for carpeting to dry and cleaning agents to dissipate.
- For any newly installed carpeting do not use Carpet Protection Film for 72 hours to allow adhesive vapors to dissipate completely through the padding and the carpet.
- If subjected to extreme conditions of high temperature, direct sunlight, heavy foot traffic or outdoor exposure, it is recommended that Carpet Protection Film be inspected and replaced with new material more frequently.
- Do not use Carpet Protection Film in extreme humidity conditions or high moisture areas like basements.
- Use Carpet Protection Film on synthetic fibers only. Not for use on oriental carpets.
- Carpet Protection Film is for temporary protection up to 30 days, REMOVE ON 30th DAY or sooner.
- If Carpet Protection Film is exposed to temperatures over 95°F, direct sunlight or outdoor exposure, product should be inspected and replaced weekly.
